Hello Stampers. I can't believe it has been 10 days since I last posted...where does the time go? I had a super busy week last week.
Most of you know Stampin' Up! has partnered with Build-A-Bear workshop to bring us an exclusive collection of products we get to share with all of you. This special line is shared with us starting on page 6 of the Holiday Mini Catalog. There are stamps, dies and paper for us to create fun cute projects. I want to share an idea I received from our annual Convention in August.
This is a great gift idea for a child who is having a birthday party or for a teacher to give to a child in their class. The ring has about 8 sheets of card stock stamped with different images from the "Beary Best Friends" stamp set. I made one for my daughter and she loved coloring them in.
The large white craft bags can be found in any craft store. The bear is cut out using the exclusive Stampin' Up! Bear Bigz Die. She is dressed using the Razzleberry Lemonade DSP and the Stampin' Up! Exclusive Beary Essentials Originals Die. The Happy Birthday Banner is stamped with the Beary Nice Wishes stamp set. I had a lot of fun making this cute bag. Here is a close up of the bear.

Yes, I did make it back from Stampin' Up!'s Regional Seminar safe and sound. I have just been busy creating since I took the weekend off from my stamp room. I had a WONDERFUL time in Cincinnati at the Regional Seminar. I met some new people and of course as always learned some really cool things!
I finally had the chance to meet with Shelli Garder, CEO and CoFounder of Stampin' Up! I was able to chat with her for a few and have my picture taken with her, she was super nice. I HATE pictures of myself but Shelli looks really nice. The lighting was not good at the time the picture was taken but at least I have one!
Whenever we attend Stampin' Up! events we always have time set aside to stamp! We received a few stamping projects to complete and I thought I would share a couple with you.
This "Merry Box" is the Bitty Box & Envelope Bigz XL Die and the Berry Christmas set from the Holiday Mini Catalog. It is a fun, cute little box and made with Real Red Textured card stock. The ribbon slides off so you can open the box...and inside the box are these 5 cute little tags.
I couldn't get the lighting right tonight...I was having problems with my camera but I hope you get the idea. The ribbon on the side is the Real Red 3/4" Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon flipped over with just the stitching showing and adhered to the back of the tag. I thought it was a cleaver idea.

I am in Cincinnati, Ohio for Stampin' Up!'s Regional Seminar tomorrow. I am SO excited to attend another SU! event. I hope to find some new ideas, learn some new tips and meet some new people.
My wonderful husband, Aaron, agreed to fly me here. It was a short 2 hour flight and on such a beautiful day! He's just hanging out tomorrow while I am at the seminar all day. Neither of us have been here before and we were really hoping to see a Cincinnati Reds baseball game tomorrow night but they are playing out of town this weekend. So we will treat ourselves to a nice dinner and then see the city a little. It is suppose to be a beautiful weekend here.

As I am attending workshops, I have been getting a lot of compliments and inquries about this card. I didn't come up with the technique but I did design the outside/inside.
The stamped image, Inspired by Nature, is actually stamped on an envelope first. I used sponge daubers to apply the ink directly on the stamp before stamping on the envelope. This is the easiest way to ink this stamp. The envelope is our Medium Whisper White Envelope that are 5-1/4" x 4-3/8" in size and is licked closed. I then cut off 1-1/4" off the top (or what you want) and took the Crimper to the bottom part of the envelope. The top (not crimped) then fits just right over the top of envelope.
This shows with the top off and the insert just high enough to poke out the top.
The Old Olive piece of card stock (the larger piece) is measured 4 x 4-3/4" and it just fits inside the envelope. I then layered the other pieces on top.
It creates a unique kind of card. I hope you enjoy it!

Hello to my Stamping Friends!! Can you believe it is September 1st already??? I can, because the FABULOUS Holiday Mini is HERE!!!! If you aren't on my mailing list please let me know so I can get you a copy of this wonderful mini catalog. It has 40 pages of NEW items and they are GREAT!!! Can you tell I am excited? :)
A fellow demonstrator, Lisa Freeman, held a Holiday Mini Swap. I had to make 15 cards and another 14 demonstrators had to make 15 cards and we all swaped our cards with each other. It is a wonderful way to get some new great ideas! I wanted to share the card I made with all of you.
The soft suede piece is textured using the NEW Impressions Folder Petals-A-Plenty. It of course is used with the Big Shot and just right for the holidays! I sponged around it a little bit using Soft Suede Ink. The ornaments are made using the NEW Delightful Decorations stamp set along with the NEW Ornament Punch. The red ornament has the snowflake punched out and layered. It is hard to tell in the picture but it also has the NEW Shimmer Paint to create a little sparkle. This Shimmer Paint is fabulous! It comes in Champagne Mist, Frost White and Platinum and goes on with just a sponge dauber. It is acid free and is perfect for porous surfaces like paper, fabric and wood.
The designer series paper behind the ornaments is also from the Holiday Mini. It is our new Speciality Designer Series Paper Christmas Cocoa Specialty and it is yummy. Some of the pieces have raised images that feel fuzzy and like felt...so cool!! The top of the card uses the Kraft Taffeta Ribbon. The Season's Greetings come from the stamp set called Snow Swirled which is in the regular catalog.
It is a few months before Christmas but is never too early to start your Christmas cards! Enjoy your day!
