I can't believe it has been 3 weeks since I have posted...where does the time go?
On Wednesday I was invited to a friends house to hold a Definitely Decorative party concentrating on Decor Elements. It was the first time I had a party of this kind. It was fun and relaxing. She was at my house a few weeks back for a stamping class and she was looking though the Definitely Decorative catalog and picking out many things she liked. She asked if I would put them up for her if she ordered them and I simply told her...if you hold a party I will put them up at the party. She agreed and now her house is beautifully decorated with Decor Elements.
I put this tree up the day before her party so she had one item up as people gathered...
Everyone LOVED this tree! This is the medium size tree in black. She didn't like how it was just floating, so she went out that day and picked up a shelf and hung it before the party. I think this looks just great! She was SO excited!
She also ordered the Manhattan Flower's but I didn't take a picture YET because the color she ordered is a little light for the walls so she is going to order another one in a different color. I will take a picture when it is finished and post it. The Manhattan Flowers is the one I demonstrated during her party...she even helped with the last flower. It was fun seeing everyone's excitement for this product!
Of course I couldn't have a party without having a make-n-take :)
I decided having the guests make a magnet to take home with them would be a perfect way for the guests to try applying the Decor Elements on something with my assistance that evening. I did all the stamping and applied the cardstock to the magnet before the party. I even tied the linen thread to the button just to make it easier.
This little Rose Red Flower is something only demonstrators can purchase for events just like this. It was nice Stampin' Up! gave us this opportunity a few years ago...I take advantage of it when I can. They applied the vinyl Rose Red Flower to the cardstock with Decor Elements applicator and then we added the Latte Button with Mini Glue Dots and presto...they had a magnet to take home.
This is a picture of one of the Chalkboard Decor Elements I have in my home over my little information table in my stamp room.
This Chalkboard comes perfectly clean with a damp paper towel. I love writing message to my guests or to announce new promotions. It looks great and seems almost like a real sign.
Here is the one I have on my back door where my friends arrive...
Our Decor Elements product line is vinyl artworks for walls, mirrors, windows, or other hard, surfaces. This is a great way to decorate your home without the expensive cost of framed artwork. When you are tired of it you can remove it without any damage to your wall.
To see more ideas please click on the Definitely Decorative brochure to the right or contact me to see a brochure. If you order a few things and need help applying them to your walls...I'd be happy to help you out as you invite guests into your home for a Decor Elements party.
I have a few more things to share with you in the next few days. Tomorrow is my daughter's 7th birthday and she is having her first party with friends. I have 10 first graders coming tomorrow to help celebrate. Looks like the weather is going to cooperate so we can have it outside. She is so excited I'm surprised she went to bed okay tonight.
Have a great weekend!
