The weekend of May 14th, I traveled to Colorado Springs for my upline, Kimberly VanDiepen's, last Demonstrator Meeting in Colorado. She will be moving to Washington D.C. in June. This event was a full weekend of fun and I didn't want to miss it. Of course I was able to spend it with my wonderful sister, Amy, which made it even better.
Amy was a trooper, this was the first time she left her 3 month old baby for the night and although she missed him we had a great time together and visiting with stamping friends. Thanks Amy, I enjoyed our sister time together :)
On Friday night, we made 15 cards...yes, 15 cards...it was AWESOME to have all the paper cut and just sit down and stamp from table to table...heavenly! Thanks to Christy, Cathy and Kimberly for all their hard work to make this a nice relaxing event for us demonstrators! Here are just a couple cards to share with you...
This card uses the new Blissful Bride set out of the current Summer Mini Catalog. What a beautiful set especially if you are planning a wedding or have lots of wedding to attend this summer.
This card uses the stamp set, Upsy Daisy, it is one of my all time favorites and can be found in the Idea Book and a new set from the current Summer Mini catalog, Favorite Thoughts. It is a great set for us women and our favorite women in our lives.
On Saturday, we learned more about the "workshop" and did a Make-N-Take using the new On Board Briefcase Book from the Summer Mini. I will share those pictures with you later as I still need to take them :)
Then Saturday evening, we made this awesome Magnet Board using Sheet Metal for roofing and our wonderful Write Stuff Specialty DSP. I love the colors in the pack of paper!
I used the wonderful stencil, Elegant Trio which can be found in the Definitely Decorative catalog. I love stencils and I have fallen in love with this one since using it this weekend!
The flower chipboard pieces is made with our wonderful On Board Book Basics and cut out with the Big Shot using the die, Flowers Layers #3. I then cut out the pieces again using the DSP and adhered them together. On the back of each flower is a magnet put on with our Tombow Multi Purpose Glue...this glue is great! LOVE IT! The Crop-A-Dile punched the holes for the ribbon...you can't live without a Crop-a-Dile! This tool is great for these kind of projects.
On Sunday, we shopped...it was great. Amy is my personal shopper and she makes it fun for me! She had me trying on all sorts of things and of course I had to buy too! Lets say this...I have a GREAT start to my wardrobe for summer!!
I've been busy this week preparing for a Stamp-A-Stack and I hope to share with you later this week some of the great cards!
Have a Terrific Tuesday!
