Sharing Cards

I have a few more cards to share with you from our Stampin' for a Cure event.  We made 6 cards in all and the ladies moved from table to table making the cards.  I just loved seeing the smile on all the  faces as they helped a great cause while having fun and meeting new people!

This card uses the Autumn Splendor set and the Rock N' Roll technique on the leaves.  Many of the ladies had never used this technique and enjoyed the look it left. 

I originally saw this layout from my friend Kimberly Van Diepen.  I thought it would be an easy card to make and show ladies how to use Craft Ink on a card.  I changed the colors and added a different greeting.

This card idea came from Dena Rekow when I swapped with her at Founder's Circle.  The ribbon circle was intimidating to most but once they did it and finished the card they loved the look of it!

A Beautiful "Pink" Day!

On Saturday, I held a Stampin' for a Cure event and it was a beautiful sunny day for this perfect event.  My team members in Colorado Springs having been holding an event like this for 4 years now.  Two weekends ago they raised over $6000!!!!  I wanted to be a part of this event and do something my customers could also participate in! 

 

Here is my sister, Amy, calling out a winner for a door prize!  This was a good weekend for her to come and visit as she is a teacher in Colorado Springs and Monday is a holiday for them.  She even brought my 8 month nephew with her...the weekend went by quick but it was good to see them!  Sue was in charge of our registration table and she did a great job!  We were thankful for her help!

I met a lot of ladies and these are some who came from Ludington to join us.  I was grateful for them and everyone to take the time to come and support this event! Here is Ada, Megan, Mary, Lorna, Maureen, and Kathy.

We had a Big Shot table set up which was used for just about every card.  It was a busy place!!!  Gayle and Karen are pros with the Big Shot!

Here is the group of ladies who made this event possible with volunteering to help me make this event possible.  Sandra, Marge, Tammy, Amy, Pam, Sue, Tara and me.  We had a goal to raise $1000 and I am proud to say we raised...

$1240!!!!!!

All proceeds were donated to our local Susan G. Komen for the Cure Grand Rapids Affiliate.  I was so excited to exceed our goal!  We had a silent auction and a raffle to help us reach our goal and thanks to all those who donated items.  We served a homemade soup luncheon and everything was donated by community members and I also want to thank them for helping us!

I am already looking forward to next year's event!  Here are a few of the cards we created on Saturday.

This day made me SO happy and there were SO many smiling faces while they helped make this event possible. I just want to thank everyone again for making this day so great!!!! 

 

 

"Spooky" Day...

Yesterday I made some time to have a little Halloween fun by stamping these cute Hand Gel holders.  Once I started I couldn't stop and I was just giddy with excitement when I finished them.

This one was the first one I created and then I couldn't stop...

Of course you have to make a different holder for each scent of Hand Gel :)

All three of these use some great Halloween items from both the Idea Book & Catalog and Holiday Mini.  Each of them have their own little "bling" added to them.  I will be sharing with my club members this month on how to make them, just need to go and get more hand gels.

Sorry for the quick post but I have more organizing to do for my Stampin' for a Cure event this Saturday to benefit Susan G. Kome for the Cure.  I am having a great response and I can't wait to see everyone and meet the new ones.  I will post how everything goes!
