Fun Times with a Sneak Peek!

A little over a week ago, I held my first big demonstrator event for the Lakeshore Stampers Team.  I called it "December Holiday Gathering" (thanks Mandy!) and it was a huge success. With it the last weekend before Christmas, twelve of my downline were able to attend and I was very thankful!  We chatted for a bit, made Make-N-Takes, lots of door prizes and of course yummy food!  There were lots of smiles, laughs and new friendships made and it just made me SO happy to be sharing this love of stamping with some wonderful ladies!

We played with some new items from the NEW upcoming Occasions Mini Catalog and everyone was happy to try them out.  This card uses the new set "Create a Cupcake" with the wonderful "Build a Cupcake Punch" which will be available to order on January 4th. 

This card also uses a new set from the Occasions Mini catalog called "Take a Spin".  This comes with four different images to use.  Yes, the Game Spinner Hands are also available to coordinate with the set!!  They are SO much fun!

I can wait to hold these quarterly events and other downline events in between.  Being part of a team and making new friendships while sharing the love of stamping is truly what Stampin' Up! is all about!  If you are interested in being part of the Lakeshore Stampers Team, I would love to talk with you more about it, feel free to drop me an email.  It is one of my favorite things to talk about!!!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all!  I want to share with you my Christmas card for this year.  I always LOVE to incorporate something with my kid's picture for my cards.  This year, my 40 cards were completed in ONE day thanks to my sister and mom for helping!  I just LOVE the Medallion and the Christmas Collage background stamps and each one you could punch out a circle and add a picture.  I made a similar card for a Stamp-A-Stack where we put a greeting in the picture hole and just loved it. 

I changed the colors just a little and did a pull out for the kid's picture for those who like to keep the picture.  Those who I thought maybe wouldn't know to pull the tab, I wrote pull on the tab.  Didn't want those pictures to go to waste.

I used Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla.  I LOVE the " Merry Christmas" stamp from Bells and Boughs in the Holiday Mini and my card took off from there. 

Our holiday gatherings today and then have a smaller gathering on Christmas Day at our house.  This will be the first year we haven't left our house on Christmas Day.  Even though it will feel different I know the kids will enjoy staying home and playing with their Christmas gifts!

Family Time...

I spent the day today with my family.  My sister, brother-in-law and nephew traveled from Colorado and my brother flew in from Texas and have been here all week.  It has been great watching the kids play and just relaxing and enjoying family time.

Today we squeezed in a little stamping.  Each year my sister makes a 8 1/2 x 11 scrapbook calendar and I made a 6x6 desk calendar for our Mom.  Needless to say my 6x6 desk calendar hasn't even been started but we were able to finish her 8 1/2 x 11 today.  She was thrilled and here is one of the pages we completed today.

While we stamped the kids played and of course what kids don't LOVE boxes...especially Stampin' Up! boxes?  We decided, with Amy and I both Stampin' Up! demonstrators, it would be adorable to have a picture of all three kids in Stampin' Up! boxes and of course holding stamps!! 

My nephew, Jackson, is in the middle and he is 10 months old.  Alec, 4, is on the left and Lauren, 7, is on the right.  The kids just ADORE Jackson and we wish we could see them more often!

I hope you were able to finish your last minute holiday to do list!  I finished my wrapping tonight and it feels SO good to be done!  We have a full day tomorrow as our festivities start at 10am!  Hopefully it will wear out the kids so they are tired and will go to bed at a decent time with Santa coming!

Christmas Time!

December is always such a busy time for me between Craft Fairs, Workshops, Christmas Cards, Downline Event and of course all of the decorating, presents, wrapping, teacher gifts and holiday programs and gatherings.  Whew!  I am sure you can relate!  I haven't had a lot of extra time to post but tonight I made myself a promise I would post some of my Craft Fair items for you.

Here are the Note Pad Holders I made with our Play Date File Folders.  These folders made such great sturdy Note Pad Holders.

The hand sanitzers were VERY popular this year in the stamping world.  These cute little sanitizers from Bath and Body Works make a perfect teacher gift.

This is a Chap-stick Holder perfect for the dry cold days during the winter months.  The top is decorated with a mitten made with our fabulous punches!

These are just the cutest!  They are Post it Note holders with a magnet on the back to hand on a file cabinet or your refrigerator!  These were a big hit and the kid's teachers loved them too!  It uses the Scallop Envelope Die and you use two to make the holder.

I hope all of you are ready for the holidays.  I have a little more wrapping to do and a few calendars to finish before January 1st.  I will post those when I am finished...I guess I better start first :)
