Where I've been...

Yes, I escaped this cold wintry weather here in Michigan and took a family vacation to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.  My parents invited us along and we couldn't resist.  My parents have been coming to this resort for 13 years as they own a time share and we had a relaxing wonderful time with them.

I always seem to take all my pictures on the day we leave.  The kids and Aaron know it is coming at every vacation.  This is the morning we left, it really wasn't cold but the kids were all set for the plane ride with their sweatshirts on. 

My Mom's birthday also was during our vacation.  The kids really enjoyed having Grandma for a week.  Each morning they woke up and did crafts...our suite was definitely festive for the week and they had a blast!

I already miss the sunny warm weather looking back at these pictures.  It was a great vacation with family!

I will leave you with a tag I made as a Make-N-Take at a recent all day crop I attended.  Any attendee at the crop could come to my table and make this tag.  It can be inserted on a scrapbook page to journal on or used as a bookmark.  Everyone loved seeing something new.

I've been busy preparing for my upcoming workshops that I have during Sale-A-Bration.  I hope to share more with you as I finish my projects.

Team Gathering

Last Saturday I gathered with many of my team members and chatted while stamping.  It was such a great day and I enjoy talking and sharing with all of them.  We celebrated promotions and shared with each other on our first workshop experiences. 

We made a couple of Make-N-Takes while enjoying some yummy homemade soup!  During Leadership we played with the Beveled Windowpanes and I fell in LOVE with them!  I wanted to share these with my team members and this is one of the cards we made.

 

The image behind the Beveled Window is the gorgeous flourish stamp from the Bliss stamp set that you can receive FREE when you place a $50 order.  Sale-a-Bration is such a fun time of year!  The butterfly is from the Clearly For You stamp set which we received from Leadership and this stamp set just stays on my desk as I use it all the time.  

Being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, you don't only get to receive 20% off your stamping items you also get access to many resources Stampin' Up! provides us on the demonstrator website.  This below card was showcased on a Stampin' Up! video by Shalae Brown, who've I had a chance to get to know by attending Stampin' Up! events and she is just the sweetest. 

 

This card uses the Nature Walk stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog and a new folder called Framed Tulip.  After I ran the Botanical Gazette DSP through the folder using the Big Shot, I then sanded the raised image using our sanding block from our Distressing Tool Kit.  I love the simplicity of this card.  Thanks Shalae for the great card!

Valentine Fun!

Just before Christmas, Stampin' Up! sent us demonstrators a little gift.  Woo Hoo!  This gift was the Love Impressions Rub-Ons from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  They came at a perfect time because I needed a birthday card for my wonderful husband.  You can easily change this to be a Valentine's card just in time for Valentine's Day.

I love all the circle punches we now have as I LOVE to layer them.  I used the Square Lattice folder for the texture on the main card. 

My friend, Jamie, had a workshop for me a couple of weeks ago.  She invited all of her friends and we had a fun night stamping and visiting.  I am very grateful she did this for me!  She wanted to make the Hand Sanitizer Holders, so we decided we could decorate them for Valentine's Day gifts.

I just love the Newsprint Designer Paper in the Idea Book and Catalog and the sheets with the music notes has because a fav of mine.  This time of year my Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit also gets used a lot...it is the red part of the heart that outlines the other heart. 

I hope you've been making Valentine's Day projects this year.  I haven't made a lot as we will be out of town for Valentine's Day so it has put a little halt on making them because I always like seeing their faces when they receive them.
