My Amazing Family "Stampin' Up!"

I've been having a lot of fun lately creating what I love to create...cards like this one!!

I especially LOVE these colors...Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake and Pool Party!

The Crumb Cake card stock (129053) is a favorite of mine (if you can't tell) and when paired with Very Vanilla card stock (101650) and Pool Party card stock (122924) it just make me scream with delight! 

I used the Ovals Collection Framelits Die (129381) to make the opening in the Tea Lace Paper Doily (129399).  The oval opening then fits perfectly with the Amazing Family stamp set (129192) which consists of the "Friend" greeting and half oval accent piece above the friend greeting which is stamped in Crumb Cake Classic Ink (126975).  The bottom piece of Crumb Cake card stock is inked using Crumb Cake ink and the Amazing Accent Standard Wheel (130106) which coordinates perfectly with the Amazing Family stamp set.

 

The Tea Lace Paper Doily (129399) is colored with Pool Party Classic Ink (126982) using the Brayer and Rubber Attachment (102395).  I suggest coloring the doily with the brayer before cutting the oval out of it.  Just easier...but let it dry COMPLETELY otherwise you will have pool party finger ink spots on your card!!

Oh, Hello!

Well HELLO!  I was part of the Rising Stars Spring Catalog swap and I wanted to share with you the card I created for the swap.

I really LOVE this stamp set "Oh, Hello" (130733) from the new Spring Catalog.  The designer series paper used on this card is the lovely Tea for Two Designer Series Paper (129311).  The fun little flower comes from the 5/8" Vanilla Flower Trim.  It comes on a strip with all of the flowers attached so I just cut one off and used it on this card.  The fun embossed image is one of the Needlepoint Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (129383) which I just can't get enough of.  And who doesn't love a little bling using the fun Rhinestones (119246).

I also had a few extra of these cards left and I gave them to a few special friends at Leadership with a special note inside from me.  I am glad I had made a few extra so I can tell those who mean so much to me with a special card for them.

My last post was one of my swap cards I had made at Leadership.  I don't make a lot but I did make a few to swap with a few friends.  I didn't give a lot of details on the card so here it is.

The strip of designer series paper is from the Summer Smooches Designer Series Pack (125409) which coordinates well with the Lucky Limeade color I used for the base of the card.  The chevron stamped image on the top right is also using the Oh, Hello (130733) stamp set stamped in Lucky Limeade.  The new little button is a Silver Basics Designer Button (129325) from the Spring Catalog as well.  You will see a lot of use of the Tea Lace Paper Doilies (129399) as I just love them and there is SO much you can do with them! 

Now on to the chalkboard technique I did for the focal part of this card.  I stamped the "Make A Wish" (129222) image on to the black card stock using Whisper White Craft Ink (101731) and then sprinkled with White Stampin' Emboss Powder (109132) and heated with the Heat Tool (129053).  After it was completely cooled, I took a the white Watercolor Pencil (101879) and a ruler and drew the lines around the edges.  Then I took a Stamping Sponge (101610) and gently wiped a little Whisper White Craft Ink (101731) over the black card stock and heavier in some spots than others and let dry.

I added the arrow clip from our new Hung Up Cute Clips for the finishing touch.

Oh, Hello!

January Stamping Inspiration & a Peek!

Here at Leadership 2013!

I'm here in sunny and HOT Orlando this week for Stampin' Up!'s 25th Anniversary Leadership Conference.  I am just about to run out the door to the convention center but thought I would post a couple of pictures really quick.  I don't usually have time to post while here so it may not happen again this week, but I will try.

My friend and downline member, Dawn Bourgette, is here too and this is us on check-in day yesterday!

It was a picture we obviously took ourselves but fun to do!  We laughed a lot!!

And here is one of my swaps, I really only made a few to share with friends I know well and see every year who expect it from me :)

I will tell you more about how I made the chalkboard look later...gotta run!

Tulle Flower Pin

 When I was on my Founder's Circle Trip with Stampin' Up! in September, I saw this flower pin on one of the Stampin' Up! Special Events staff and feel in love with it.  Selma, in Special Events, had made these for each one of her co-workers who also attended Founder's Circle.  They wore them on their aprons they wore and were super cute.  I asked Selma how she made them and gave me a quick explanation.  About a month ago I decided to make one and it turned out super cute!  I then made one for each of team members who attended the Stampin' Up! Lansing Regional a few weeks ago.  They all wore them during the event and we got asked many times how we did it. 

These are made with our 3 1/2" Scalloped Tulle Ribbon we are carrying in the Holiday Catalog right now.  You get 10 yards for $6.95 and I cut each piece 26", so you can get about 13 of these out of one package of ribbon!  That's awesome!  I used a heat tool to melt the edges of the tulle as you will see in the video I have for you.  You will also see the back in the video and I explain how I added the pin.

Lansing Regional with Stampin' Up!

Gifts for Lansing Regionals

I want to share with you two more items I have my group for coming to the Lansing Regional.  Instead of making swaps I decided to spoil my Lakshore Stampers and their guests.

I received this idea from my friend and fellow design team member, Cori Kozak.  I found these cute little jars at a craft store and filled them with Hershey kisses.  Cori gave me the idea to punch a greeting and add it to the bottom of the kisses! Thanks Cori!

I used the new Designer Ribbon Slides which are found in the Holiday Catalog along with the Candlelight Christmas Designer Fabric to tie around the top of the jar.  I added a little ticket to the ribbon slide to put their name on it.  This is another sneak peak from the upcoming Spring Catalog, the set is call That's the Ticket.  The top of the jar is decorated with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch using the Candlelight Christmas Designer Series Paper.  The Hershey kisses are decorated using the 3/4" Circle Punch and Lucky Limeade card stock after stamped using the Mixed Medley hostess stamp set in the back of the Holiday Catalog.  They all loved them and enjoyed snacking on some chocolate while enjoying the regional!

I wanted to make my current Lakeshore Stampers a little something extra, so I decided to pull out the Sealed with Love Simply Sent Kit also in the Holiday Catalog.  These were easy and fun to do and available through February 14 so you can use them for Valentine's Day!

Of course I needed to decorate them a little bit more!  I added a couple of banners and then a valentine's ticket using the That's the Ticket stamp set which will be in the Spring Catalog. 

I am telling you...this new little stamp set is a great addition to our collection for using the Ticket Punch!

I am still beaming from the great time we all had at the Lansing Regional on Saturday.  I am hoping to share the other gift with you yet this week.  I want to do a little video as many of you will be asking how to make it so I might as well get ready!

Lansing Regional with Stampin' Up!

On Saturday I attended the Lansing Regional with 9 of my team members and 6 guests!  We had an amazing time.  We left on Friday and spent the night in Lansing so we didn't have to get up at the crack of dawn to drive.  We had a nice night walking to the restaurant...a few times...long story!  But at least the weather was 60 degrees so we couldn't complain.  We at at Clara's which is an old train station in Lansing.

On Saturday the rest of the group came in and we had just a wonderful time laughing and learning while bonding with each other.  I really enjoyed our group and all the friendships that were made!

By the end of the regional on Saturday all 6 guests took advantage of the "Ink-redible" starter kit deal Stampin' Up! is offering until December 16th!  I was so shock but SO excited to have 6 new members part of the Lakeshore Stamping Team!  The regional was just contagious and they couldn't help themselves.  I also think Stampin' Up! did such a great job putting on this event they couldn't wait to be part of the SU family and the friendships that were being made as well!

I love spoiling my team so I made each of them and the guests a few little things and gave them as gifts.  I will share with you today the card I made each of them.  The stamp set will be coming out in the Spring Catalog and it is called "Feels Good".  I had received this set at Founder's Circle and I knew this was the perfect saying for my team and I wanted to give them something new!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The greeting on the card must have worked because as a team we added 7 new members to our team yesterday!  (One who wasn't there!)

If you can't tell, I really had a great time with these ladies and I didn't want it to end so we met up in Grand Rapids on the way home and enjoyed dinner together as well! (Our waiter was a little shaky with the camera!)

I've been to many regionals, I even presented in Milwaukee this year, but I really think this was the BEST Stampin' Up! Regional I have ever been to!  I loved all the presentations by both the SU staff and the demonstrators.  The Make-N-Takes were great and of course you have to love the prizes we all won!  But most of all the Stampin' Up! staff is truly fabulous.  The regionals are smaller than Convention and Leadership, we did have almost 900 demonstrators/guests attend but SU always made time to talk with you.  I chatted with these two fabulous ladies quite a bit on Saturday.  I enjoy catching up with Shelli Gardner and Shannon West and always look forward to the next event to see them again.

Thanks again to all the Lakeshore Stamping Team Members who came and then joined on Saturday as well!  And to Stampin' Up! for such a fabulous event here in Michigan!  It will always be the best yet!

 

 

Last Day of Founder's Circle

I had a nice time yesterday just relaxing and visiting with other demonstrators.  Had a great dinner last night at a Japanese Steakhouse and then some relaxing time at the pool.  It was a great way to end a perfect five days!

I don't have much to share with you today as I am getting ready to leave the hotel to start traveling home but I do want to share with you the pillow gift from last night.

This is a beautiful charm bracelet.  The little charm is a sand dollar on one side to go with our beach theme and the other side says "FC 2012".  Each year someone is award Founder's Circle they will receive another charm to add to the bracelet.  I LOVE this idea and from what I heard around the pool last night so does everyone else! 

Well I hope all my flights are on time today as I have some tight connections!  Now that our time here is done, I am anxious to get home to see my family!

Perfect Day at Founder's!

We got on the bus early yesterday morning to tour the Kanab Facility where our rubber stamps are manufactured and then to a surprise destination for our special event.

Kanab was wonderful as always!  Go great to see the amazing staff who work hard for us! I love the warm welcome we get when we get off the bus!!! 

When we got back on the bus we headed another hour to the Colorado River and did a slow raft 3 1/2 hour tour down through Glen Canyon!  It was amazing...

Looking back at the dam where we started and the other rafts. The other side of the dam is Lake Powell. And further down the river is the Grand Canyon.

These are my friends I got to enjoy this amazing experience with...Karen & Jackie.

Our guide was Brad and he made the experience even more enjoyable.  John Wesley Powell, who explored the Colorado River in 1869, was his idol and told us lots of stories which were fascinating.  Brad also played the guitar and sang to us...it was a perfect trip!

Afterwards we grabbed our dinners and they were in these cute little bags.  Since our rafting was so long and we had a 3 1/2 hour ride back to the hotel we ate on the bus with all our friends.

When we returned to our room these were waiting for us on our beds.  The perfect way to remember this day! 

This picture is of Horseshoe Bend which is a beautiful section of the Colorado River at Glen Canyon which we floated down yesterday.  Of course since we were floating we couldn't see this view but could see others at the top taking pictures down as this is a popular tourist destination and hopefully you can see in the picture why!

When I returned to the hotel I hit the hot tub for some relaxing with some friends and then played a wonderful game of water volleyball with great friends!  It was a great time and a VERY late night. 

It is more relaxing and maybe some stamping today.  Have a great Saturday! 

Founder's Day 2!

Today was a nice relaxing day.  I went shopping with my friends, Jodi & Georgia, to the local mall this afternoon.  Then we went out to an amazing restaurant for dinner, Anasazi.  They use hot lava rocks to cook your food to your liking after they have seared it in the kitchen.  It was really neat experience!  Here is the group of us...

It was a great dinner with some great friends with some good laughs!

After dinner we had our Business Share & Swap event while in our pajamas.  This is Kimberly and I with a new way to collect our swap cards from others.  It worked great!

I will share with you all the items on this cards another time.  It is getting late and we have a 7am-9pm day tomorrow taking a bus to Kanab and then a bus to our Final Event night.  It has to do with the beach theme we just don't know what yet but they always amaze us!  But I will share with you my pillow gift for the night...

The last blanket I received as a pillow gift, Lauren has claimed and I've never used it again.  This one is MINE and I am super excited!
