Shelli's Card & News...

I LOVE when Shelli Gardner presents on stage.  This January at Leadership in San Antonio she showed this card she had made and I feel in love with it!  It is simply yet has that vintage feel and it is just the kind of card I've been looking for!  Shelli made this card using our Notecards but I changed it to a full size card as I used this card for my recent Basic Card Class. 

The "Thanks" is from the Rue Des Fleurs stamp set in the Occasions Mini Catalog...I just love the font on this greeting!

Wonderful Downline Members

I have a great group of downline members who I've enjoyed getting to know because of Stampin' Up!  Most of them were customers of mine before they signed up.  I enjoy hearing from them and helping whether they are a business demonstrator or hobby demonstrator.  I am just glad I get to share it with them.

Every couple of months I make a special card and send one to each of my downline.  I currently have 28 in all my levels so it usually takes me a few days to get the cards out once I design it.  I know how much I enjoy getting a hand stamped card in the mail and I know they do too!  I usually try to use new product and sometimes even a different technique. 

This is the card I made for them this month...

I sometime forget about vellum.  I love the softness it gives to anything is lays over.  In this card I used our yummy Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper that anyone can earn free for placing a $50 order!  It is one of the BEST DSP's we've had yet...even better that it is free!!!!

I pulled out my heat tool and used white embossing powder to emboss this great image from the Elementary Elegance stamp set, which you can also receive free, on the vellum cardstock. 

I hope my team of demonstrators loved receiving this card as much as I loved creating it for them.  Yes, I do write a little something in each card too for them!  Hand stamped and written means so much!

Get Well Soon

My hostess from Tuesday night's workshop saw this soup pouch similar to this of mine and asked that we make it at her workshop.  I redesigned the one I had with more current SU! product and little did I know I would be needing it the next day as I came down with influenza the next day.  UGH!  I've never had this before and I didn't get my flu shot this year but I WILL be next year...this is just awful!  It came on really quick as I didn't get achy until on my drive home from her workshop that night.  So needless to say...this no longer has a soup packet in it.  I used it yesterday!

You can't tell in the picture but the Very Vanilla piece which is embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper folder has a shimmer to it.  I used Champagne Mist shimmer paint along with rubbing alcohol in a bottle and sprayed it.  I LOVE this look!  The birds are also outlined with shimmer paint and these birds come from my new favorite stamp set "Clearly for You" from the Occasions Mini along with the background on the banner.  The Just 4 You came from the Hodgepodge Happiness set which you can get free when you place a $50 now through March 31st.  Go HERE if you'd like to take advantage of Sale-A-Bration's freebies by placing a $50 order or email me today!

Team Gathering

Last Saturday I gathered with many of my team members and chatted while stamping.  It was such a great day and I enjoy talking and sharing with all of them.  We celebrated promotions and shared with each other on our first workshop experiences. 

We made a couple of Make-N-Takes while enjoying some yummy homemade soup!  During Leadership we played with the Beveled Windowpanes and I fell in LOVE with them!  I wanted to share these with my team members and this is one of the cards we made.

 

The image behind the Beveled Window is the gorgeous flourish stamp from the Bliss stamp set that you can receive FREE when you place a $50 order.  Sale-a-Bration is such a fun time of year!  The butterfly is from the Clearly For You stamp set which we received from Leadership and this stamp set just stays on my desk as I use it all the time.

This card uses the Nature Walk stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog and a new folder called Framed Tulip.  After I ran the Botanical Gazette DSP through the folder using the Big Shot, I then sanded the raised image using our sanding block from our Distressing Tool Kit.  I love the simplicity of this card.  Thanks Shalae for the great card!

Easter Chick

Sorry it has taken me a while to post again.  My almost 7 year old daughter, Lauren, transferred to a different school last week after we returned from our vacation.  It was a busy week getting back into the routine of things after vacation and helping her adjust to her new school.  She loves her new school and is adjusting remarkably well...that makes one happy Mom!!!!!

With it starting to feel like spring outside, I decided it was time to post a Easter card I made for my monthly library event and a recent workshop I had last week.

I just LOVE paper piecing this chick from the "A Good Egg" stamp set.  The chick is paper pieced with So Saffron cardstock and a polka dot pattern from the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper Stack.  This paper stack is SO yummy!  It comes in a pack of 48 - 12x12 sheets total, 2 each of 24 double-sided designs.  The striped pattern is another of many designs from the paper stack.

I also can't get enough of the FREE Scallop Trim Border Punch that you can earn until March 31st during Sale-A-Bration.  Only a week left, don't miss out on this great promotion!!!!

Sale-A-Bration Card

I have had a lot of fun using this year's Sale-A-Bration sets.  Who doesn't LOVE earning FREE sets, punches and paper packs?!?!  The Sale-A-Bration set, Happy Moments, has some great images for all occasions.  This card uses the bird cage image along with the Happy Birthday greeting.

This is a 4-1/4 x 4-1/4" size card.  I stamped the bird cage in Soft Suede ink and then used the Crushed Curry marker to color in the bird.  I then cut it out, added a vintage brad and layered it to a 1-3/4" circle.

I used a Hug Sending Love Note and layered a piece of the Welcome Neighbor DSP that you can received FREE with a $50 purchase until March 31st.  This pack of paper has 72 sheets of some great colors and designs.  The card is layered with Soft Suede DSP, Soft Suede Polka Dot Ribbon turned upside down for the solid color and two Kraft Corduroy Brads.
